mFormation Technologies Inc. Names John Dilley as Vice President of North American Sales, Jon Herttua as Vice President of Global Channels
Software and Telecommunications Industry Veterans to Lead Sales and Channel Growth
EDISON, New Jersey. (July 30, 2002) - mFormation Technologies Inc., an
emerging provider of innovative Wireless Infrastructure Management software,
today announced the appointment of two key sales executives. As mFormation's
Vice President of North American Sales, John Dilley will be responsible for
driving mFormation's sales efforts into North American wireless service
providers, carriers, enterprises and government organizations. Jon Herttua,
as Vice President of Global Channels, will be responsible for developing
mFormation's global channel strategy as well as identifying and building
relationships with partners for the distribution and support of mFormation
software worldwide.
"With new wireless data networks rolling out around the world and new
wireless devices beginning to proliferate on a grand scale, the sales
potential for our software with wireless service providers, carriers,
enterprises and government organizations is growing significantly, not only
in North America, but worldwide," said Ron Pettengill, mFormation's CEO.
"John Dilley's deep telecommunications sales experience and Jon Herttua's
experience developing global channel partner networks will be key to helping
us focus on the global potential for wireless management solutions."
Herttua believes mFormation is in a unique position to lead in an emerging
market. "I am always looking for products and services that solve real
problems and actually improve business effectiveness and productivity," said
Herttua. "Currently, the lack of effective management for wireless devices on
carrier and enterprise networks puts both the end user and the corporation at
risk, while slowing down larger scale wireless deployments. By pioneering
software products to monitor and control the plethora of wireless software
applications and devices that are rapidly coming to market, mFormation is in
a position to become the de facto standard for management of wireless device
networks."
Dilley thinks mFormation's software meets a critical need. "I believe
mFormation is extremely well positioned to provide a powerful wireless
management solution to multiple market segments, including the carrier,
service provider, government and enterprise spaces," said Dilley.
"mFormation's software is just what IT staff in these organizations need to
be able to manage, secure, and control their wireless devices across a
multitude of network components, worldwide."
John Dilley comes to mFormation with more than 17 years of telecommunications
sales and management experience. Most recently, Dilley served as Vice
President of Sales for the Americas at OnMobile Inc. where he introduced a
voice-enabled multi-modal solutions platforms to tier I and II wireless
carriers. Prior to OnMobile, Dilley spent eight years with Nortel Networks in
various sales and management positions, including Vice President of Emerging
Sales where he led a team of more than 40 sales executives representing all
Nortel products and solutions to emerging service providers, enterprises and
US carriers. He also led multiple vertical sales teams and started up sales
organizations within the company, including the High-Speed Access and
Broadband Wireless Access organizations. Before Nortel, John spent four years

marketing, sales, and management for the Fixed Base Operation. He has also
served in a variety of sales, product and project management roles at
Ericsson Radio Systems, NEC America, Compucon and GTE. He holds a degree in
electrical engineering from ITT Technical Institute in Indiana.
Jon Herttua brings more than 20 years of software and channel sales and
management experience to mFormation. Before joining the company, Herttua was
Vice President of Worldwide Carrier and Channel Sales at PacketVideo
Corporation, a provider of carrier-class infrastructure software for
deployment of rich media over wireless networks. Prior to PacketVideo,

within four years. Before Exodus, Herttua spent six years with Motorola
